Whatever your tastes, Perth Zoo has a number of excellent food options for you to choose from during your visit.
Eat Fast Food
Eat Fast Food offers a great variety of meals from burgers and hot chips to Asian noodles, fried rice, onion rings and chicken wraps. Drinks, sandwiches, rolls, sushi, kids’ pack and ice creams are also available.
Eat Fast Food is self-service and opening hours are 10 am to 4 pm.
Eat Fast Food also has ample seating so parents can relax and watch their children on the Zoo’s historic carousel.
Velluto
Fancy a great coffee? How about a slice of delicious chocolate cake? Perhaps a freshly-made chorizo pizza? Velluto has it all. Coffee and tea varieties, an ice cream bar and a great variety of food is available for dine-in or takeaway. Whether you visit the Zoo in the morning, over lunch or in the afternoon, there is a meal option to suit every time of day.
Beer, wine and champagne are also available at Velluto to people over 18 years of age. Alcohol can only be consumed in the licensed area.
Velluto is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
Meerkats Café
In its prime location on the Main Lawn, Meerkats Café is a new food outlet, constructed on the site of the old Kite Cage.
Meerkats Café offers a similar range to Eat Fast Food and Velluto at a location that is convenient for those who use the main lawn as a base for their visit.

Environmental Policy
The food services at Perth Zoo operate under an environmental policy with a commitment to minimising, reducing and recycling waste and achieving positive environmental outcomes.
The cafés are using environment-friendly packaging which is totally biodegradable and decomposable.
Coffee is supplied by Aromas Tea and Coffee merchants which is a Rainforest Alliance Certified company. This means they are committed to protecting biodiversity, conserving resources for the good of the planet and future generations and ensuring that farm workers, their families and communities are treated well.
