YUM! Easy peasy mini raspberry custard tarts
If you’re a kid who is a whiz in the kitchen, ask an adult to help you have a go at making these delicious snacks! Recipes courtesy of Brownes.
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets filo pastry
- oil spray
- cinnamon sugar*, for sprinkling
- 1 cup Brownes Traditional Vanilla Custard
- 1 punnet raspberries
Method:
- Place a sheet of filo pastry on bench and spray with oil. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and cover with remaining filo sheet. Cut into 12 squares and carefully push into 12 buttered mini muffin pans. Bake at 200°C for 5 minutes or until golden. Cool
completely on a wire cooling rack. - Spoon Brownes Custard Traditional Vanilla Custard into filo cases and top with raspberries, serve immediately and enjoy!
Handy Hints:
- *Cinnamon sugar can be made sugar can be made by combining equal quantities of cinnamon and sugar.
- Filo cases can be baked the day before required, and stored in an airtight container.
- Try your favourite Brownes Fruit Yoghurt as an alternative.
- Use your favourite fruit as a topping, when in season.
- Filo cases will become soggy if filled and left standing for more than an hour, so ensure they are served immediately after being filled.
