A unique opportunity for senior secondary students to learn about current conservation.
A one-day conservation conference for senior secondary students that focuses on current conservation issues relating to Western Australia and the different control strategies being implemented. Biology Day is part of National Science Week.
Participants will:
- hear from people currently working in the field including representatives from a variety of Western Australian conservation agencies
- learn about Perth Zoo’s Native Species Breeding Program
- participate in hands-on conservation science workshops.

Participants will be fully supervised throughout the program. Teachers please inform the Zoo if you intend to accompany your students at the conference.
Students are to supply their own lunch and snacks. Please help the environment by avoiding overly-packaged food items and cling wrap. Remember to bring a refillable drink bottle.
Please wear enclosed footwear and bring a raincoat in the event of wet weather.
