Schools Programs

Find out about the great variety of education experiences we offer for school children of all phases of development including early and middle childhood and middle and late adolescence. You’ll also find a selection of half-day, one-day and overnight programs for your class.

Schools are required to make a booking for all Zoo visits and programs.

Self-guided Visits

Our unique learning experiences provide Living Links to Western Australia’s curriculum by connecting students with nature and empowering them to take positive action for our environment. All education experiences run for approximately 45 minutes.

Junior Wildlife Conference

The Junior Wildlife Conference is a celebration of wildlife and conservation at Perth Zoo for students in Years 4–7.

Year 10 Geographical, Earth and Environmental Day

$13.50 per student (GST exempt)

The Geographical, Earth and Environmental Sciences Year 10 Forum (GEES Day) is a one-day event which showcases exciting career choices for year 10 students.

Biology Day

End of Year Big Zoo Day Out

Book your class in for a special end of year event incorporating a range of special animal encounters and fun, creative conservation focused activities.

Sustainable Schools at Perth Zoo

The Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative WA (AuSSI-WA) provides support for schools endeavouring to embed sustainability within the culture of their school community.

School Fodder Garden Program

Free of charge

Your school can help Perth Zoo by growing fodder and browse crops for our plant-eating residents. We can assist you with information on getting started, selecting the right plants and harvesting for use at Perth Zoo.

Wild Ways Conservation Art Project

Free of charge

The Wild Ways Conservation Art Project uses art as a vehicle to raise awareness about conservation issues, promoting positive action to encourage people to care for precious ecosystems in both Asia and Australia.

Wildlife Conservation Action Community Service Program

Free of charge

Get in on the action and raise money to help save threatened wildlife. Perth Zoo established Wildlife Conservation Action (WCA) to support the conservation of species in the wild.
