If you are interested in getting involved with a Tiwest Night Stalk survey but not really sure how to go about it, why not join a ‘hosted’ stalk?

Interested members of the community are welcome to join any of the Tiwest Night Stalks listed below. Please contact the nominated person to register your interest or for further information.

Location: Rockingham Regional Environment Centre, 39 Safety Bay Road, NaragebupDetails: Tiwest is proud to present a free community event for all ages. Event program will cater for both school aged children at Lake Richmond and younger children at the Naragebup centre. Remember to bring a torch, warm clothing, closed-in shoes and a keen eye for spotting! Free sausage sizzle, drinks, showbags and a chance to win prizes. Bookings are essential for catering purposes.

Organiser: Department of Environment and Conservation – Yanchep National Park
Location:Volunteer Centre Yanchep National Park, Wanneroo Road, Yanchep
Details: Join us for a walk through local woodlands and wetlands on a hunt for nocturnal animals. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring along a torch and a sense of adventure. Children require adult supervision.

Date: Saturday 22 October 2011 – please note this event is outside the official Tiwest Night Stalk dates, however, results will be included.
Time: 5 pm
Organiser: City of Mandurah
Location: Marlee Reserve, Mulga Drive, Parklands, Mandurah
Details: Arrive early to walk the Marlee Reserve trail and be among the first to see the new interpretive signage, and/or have a go at the recently established ClimateWatch citizen science program! 5:30 pm–6:45pm:  Dr. Chambers’ presentation: ‘Fascinating fauna: the secret lives of the residents of Marlee Reserve’. Light supper provided after the presentation Opportunity for interested persons to observe the trail at night to observe and record behaviours of nocturnal fauna.
