We do have volunteer guides, called Docents, however, they work mostly with our visitors. Our work experience placements at the Veterinary Department are for final year veterinary students only. There are a limited number of places available for keeping work experience that are prioritised for students studying relevant tertiary degrees.
There are also a number of programs run by our Discovery and Learning staff as well as Behind the Scenes (Close Encounters and Keeper for a Day) programs which give visitors hands-on experiences with animals.
