Zoo Keeper health and fitness
Keeping work is manually intensive and potentially dangerous work, so staff need to be fit and alert at all times. They also need to be able to advocate for the animals under their care and make ethically appropriate decisions. Keepers also need to be able to maintain a certain level of emotional rigour in order to accept and cope with the loss of animals either through transaction to other Zoos or through illness.
