In brief, permanent staff-numbers as at 1 October, 2001 were 132. Staff at the Zoo include animal keeping staff, horticultural staff, grounds-keepers, security, veterinary staff, research staff, retail staff, maintenance personnel, education staff, administrative staff (HR, finance, marketing, communications, IT) and management staff.
