Can I bring a pet into the Zoo?

Sorry, no. Domestic animals are not permitted into Perth Zoo. The Zoo is a Class A Reserve and permanent quarantine zone. Domestic animals brought into the Zoo may need to spend up to one month in quarantine before their release. Owners will be responsible for the cost of this process.

Seeing-eye dogs, in accordance with current national quarantine legislation, may be brought into the area immediately inside the front-entrance of Perth Zoo only. With appropriate prior-arrangement, the vision-impaired may leave their seeing-eye dogs with Zoo personnel whilst they visit the Zoo with a human guide. Please contact the Zoo on (08) 9474 0444 before your visit to make these arrangements.
