• Due to unforeseeable animal health issues, Perth Zoo cannot guarantee that all animals and exhibits specified will be available. 
• Due to animal behavioural issues, experiences may vary.
• Tour cost includes general Zoo admission so you may visit the remainder of the Zoo following your Close Encounter.
• Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a paying Adult.
• Close Encounters Tours must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance.
• Keeper for a Day experiences include a meal voucher from one of Perth Zoo’s cafes, and a Perth Zoo Shop Voucher.
• All group experiences include coffee vouchers for use on the day of your booking, and a discount card to Perth Zoo shop for each participant.
• All participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
• Please be advised that it is your responsibility to advise the Zoo if you have any medical condition (e.g. pregnancy) that you or your doctor feel we should be aware of in order to ensure your safety.
• Please note that for health and safety reasons, pregnant women will not be able to participate in the Keeper for a Day program. We are happy to take your booking after your delivery date.

For your safety and enjoyment please note the following:

• Don't wear red or bright colours as they may disturb animals and cause unexpected responses.
• Do wear enclosed flat shoes. 
• Bring your own camera.

Gift Vouchers

Looking for a completely unique gift idea? Close Encounters gift vouchers may be just the thing. Recipients can book their tour at a time which is most convenient to them. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and can be prepared by the next working day. Please call 08 9474 0402 to place an order.

Zoo Entry

The Zoo is open from 9am to 5pm daily. Tour cost includes general Zoo admission so you may visit the remainder of the Zoo prior to or following your Close Encounter experience. General admission charges will apply for any accompanying non-participant.

Please note: prices listed are valid until 30 June 2009.

Cancellation Policy

Should you be unable to participate in your booked Close Encounter experience, you may call to investigate rebooking an alternative date, providing a minimum of seven working days notice. If an alternative date is not an option and you wish to cancel your Close Encounter less than five working days before it is due to occur, you will be charged for 50% of the Close Encounter fee.

Waiver of Liability

The Zoological Parks Authority accepts no liability for any person or body for any loss, injury or property damage from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken at Perth Zoo. Participants must abide by Staff instructions at all times. It is a condition of participation that visitors observe all warning signs, do not venture over exhibit safety barriers and do not enter the Zoo's off limit areas, unless instructed by Zoo Staff.
