Frog Chorus
(Years K to 2)
Through costume and drama, students discover the frog life cycle and create a chorus of ‘singing’ local frogs. Important aspects of frog habitat and threats to frogs are introduced.



Crocodile Capers
(Years K to 3)
Crocodile Capers is a fun, interactive exploration of crocodiles. Students look at the special features, movement, diet and habitat of this popular reptile through music and movement. This experience takes place out in the Zoo grounds.



Lesson in a Lunchbox - NEW!
Enough rubbish, we need the 3Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle. This activity-based session introduces students to the idea that the things we consume have an ecological price tag. Students examine the contents of the average Aussie lunchbox and link their choices to sustainability.

Under Cover
Join us for an exciting, up close discovery of the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’ of animal coverings – fur, feathers, skin and scales.





Save a Tree for Me!
Students participate in a role-play using puppets and costumes to explore the basic needs of our native species and threats to their survival.




Bush Party
An original story with colourful costumes creates a fun-filled education experience. Students explore and report on the special features and habitats of animals in the Zoo’s Australian Bushwalk. This experience takes place out in the Zoo grounds.



Healthy Zoo, Healthy You
How does an elephant take a bath? Healthy Zoo Healthy You focuses on the daily routines that promote health and well being. Students discover that animals have very similar needs to themselves.
