Bequest to Perth Zoo
Make a lasting contribution to help save the world's wildlife.
You can help Perth Zoo continue as a world-class Zoo by supporting crucial breeding and reintroduction programs by making a bequest to Perth Zoo in your will.
Perth Zoo is assisting many species through captive breeding, release of species into the wild, education, conservation programs and research.
Your bequest will ensure this work continues to benefit our society and future generations.
General bequests made to Perth Zoo are credited to an all-purpose fund from which the Zoo makes allocations for its development and collections according to need.
These may include, but are not limited to:
- Native Species Breeding
- Exotics Breeding
- Education Programs
- Preservation of the Zoo's Botanical Collection
- Zoo Heritage Preservation
- In situ support
If you are interested in making a bequest to Perth Zoo, please contact the Bequest Officer on (08) 9474 0491 or download the brochure.
Workplace Giving
Imagine if you could help employ an anti-poaching patrol unit to protect Sumatran Tigers, Sumatran Orang-utans and Asian Elephants in the wild.
You can.
Perth Zoo is now seeking ongoing donations from businesses and employees through a new workplace giving program. Workplace giving is an easy and efficient way of supporting Wildlife Conservation Action and the threatened species it is trying to help.
Not only is it an easy way to give, you have the knowledge that you are supporting species in desperate need of help.
Workplace giving is a simple and effective method of making regular donations to a nominated fund that is entitled to receive tax deductible donations. You pledge an amount of your choice and your donation is automatically deducted from your pay and forwarded to the nominated fund. The best part is that your donations are taken out before tax which means that a deduction of $20 from pre-tax earnings may only cost you $14 (assuming a marginal tax rate of 40%).
Your regular donations through workplace giving will contribute to the conservation of priority species in the wild including Sumatran Orang-utans, Sumatran Tigers, Sumatran Elephants and Javan Gibbons. Other species that have been identified for help within our region include New Guinea Tree Kangaroos, frogs, the African Painted Dog and the Cambodian Sun Bear.
Perth Zoo covers the administration costs for Wildlife Conservation Action which means that 100% of your donation goes to conservation projects
Every donation helps:
- $30 can buy a pair of boots for a member of an anti-poaching unit in Sumatra or Africa
- $70 can fund a wildlife village patrol in Papua New Guinea for a week
- $100 can help purchase vital wildlife monitoring equipment
- $200 can help buy an anti-snare and radio collar for an African Painted Dog
