Docents (Zoo Guides)

The services of Zoo guides are included in the price of tours through Zoo exhibits. The guides casually mingle with guests providing assistance and information.

Security

It is a pre-requisite for all functions after 5pm that Security Officers are present to secure Zoo premises. One Security Officer is required for groups of 100 and under, then an additional guard for every hundred thereafter. An hourly rate with minimum three-hour charge applies. The security will be booked 30 minutes prior to the start of the function. Some exhibits require a minimum of two Security Officers per function, please check.

Smoking

Perth Zoo is a NO SMOKING Zoo. Smokers are asked to refrain from smoking whilst in the Zoo. If your function is taking place outside of normal operating hours, your function coordinator may identify an area where your guests can smoke.

Waiver of Liability

The Zoological Parks Authority accepts no liability of any person or body for any loss, injury or property damage from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken at Perth Zoo.
