Before booking your seminar at Perth Zoo please read the following guidelines and useful information.

Emergency Evacuation

Evacuation procedure maps are located on the back of each door in the Conference Centre. Please ensure your conference convenor is familiar with these procedures.

Loss or Damage

As the hirer of the room, you will be held responsible and liable for any damages to, or loss of, equipment caused by yourself or users of the room. This includes, but is not limited to, audiovisual equipment, furniture, fittings and floor coverings. You will not be held responsible for mechanical breakdown of equipment unless directly caused by misuse.  

Parking

Ticketed parking is available in the carpark on the corner of Labouchere and Richardson Roads and also in carparks on Labouchere Road and Mill Point Road for Zoo visitors. Disability parking is available at the small Zoo carpark adjacent to the Zoo entry on Labouchere Road and in the Windsor Park carpark on Labouchere Road. Both are just a short, flat distance from the Zoo's entry.

Temporary parking is available for unloading resources and equipment (by arrangement).

Payment

Fees will be shown on your invoice. Payment is required two weeks prior to the date of your booking. Cheques should be made payable to "PERTH ZOO CONFERENCE CENTRE". Please quote the invoice number on the reverse side of the cheque. Fees are only refundable if notice of cancellation is received in writing 5 days prior to your booking date.

Reception/telephone services

Perth Zoo reception is staffed from 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, however booked security personnel can provide access outside these times.  We regret general reception services, message-taking and use of phones are not available. A pay phone is available at the Zoo's main entrance.

Room Set-up

Upon enquiry you will be sent a Conference Centre Confirmation Form.  Please complete this form and return to the Zoo by fax on 9474 4420 to confirm your booking.  You may nominate your preferred room set up and room requirements on this form. 

Note: The rooms will only be available for you to access on the day of your booking.

Smoking

Perth Zoo is a NO SMOKING Zoo. Conference Centre guests will need to exit Zoo grounds to smoke or visit the nearest designated visitor smoking zone (map ref. G6). (State legislation requires smokers to not smoke within 5 m of any government building and 10 m of any window, air ducts or air intake) Thank you for considering the health of our animals, staff, visitors and gardens by not smoking.

VIPS and Media

All media activity at Perth Zoo needs the approval of the Manager, Media & Commuincations. Please advise us well in advance if you intend to invite VIPs or media representatives to your seminar or function.

Waiver of Liability

The Zoological Parks Authority (Perth Zoo) accepts no liability of any person or body for any loss, injury or property damage from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken at Perth Zoo.
