South American Birds

Sun Conure
Little is known about how wild Sun Conures behave as there are less than 2, 500 remaining in the wild. They are very social and flocks of 30 or more birds used to be common. It is now rare to find flocks of more than 12 birds.

Blue-and-Gold Macaw
These large, beautifully coloured birds have predominantly blue and gold feathers. They also have green and white in their plumage and a black beak.
